Lost Belongings – Able Taxi in Orillia

Able Taxi has a strict policy in place when it comes to lost items found in our vehicles. Our drivers are instructed to return any belongings they might find as soon as possible to our office.

If you are the owner of a lost item and had used Able Taxi’s transportation services, please phone our office to notify us of the missing item or items.  The sooner we are aware of your lost item, the faster we can start the recovery process and arrange to have the item(s) returned to you. At Able Taxi we are open 24/7, so please feel free to contact us at any time that is convenient for you.

In order to prevent the possibility of lost belongings, we recommend you take the following steps when riding in an Able Taxi vehicle:

• Be sure that any purses or bags are closed securely when getting into and out of the taxi.
• Don’t place any belongings on the floor of the taxi. It may seem like a reasonable place to set down a purse or bag because there is often more space but it’s also an easy way to forget about your belongings when you’ve reached your destination. Ideally, you should keep these items next to you or on your lap to avoid leaving them behind.
• After texting or making calls on your cell phone during your taxi ride make certain that your phone is well secured in pocket or bag. Most recovered cell phones are found on the seat.
• Be sure to take notice of the Taxi Company you are using upon entering the vehicle, as well as the telephone number. This information is directly on the side of the vehicle.
• Ask your driver for a business card at the end of your ride with Able Taxi; this ensures you have our contact information in the event that you accidentally leave something behind.
